Jesus Christ and Lion of Judah
A powerful black and grey realism tattoo combining the portrait of Jesus Christ wearing a crown of thorns with the majestic face of a lion. A geometric cross overlaps both figures, creating a unified composition inspired by Christian symbolism. The contrast between Christ’s peaceful expression and the lion’s intense gaze represents sacrifice, faith, courage and divine strength. Delicate thorn branches, realistic fur textures and smooth shading add depth to this dramatic upper-arm piece.

My name is Jonathan, and I’m a tattoo artist based in Danvers, MA. I specialize in dark and black & grey realism, creating detailed pieces that combine strong contrast, realistic textures, and a unique atmosphere. I love taking an idea and turning it into something that feels personal and works naturally with the body. For me, every tattoo is more than just a design, so I pay close attention to the details, composition, and placement to make sure everything comes together. I always take the time to understand what you have in mind and work with you to create a piece you’ll be excited to wear for years to come.
